Saturday Chess Club

Saturday Chess Club has stopped until next September, due to other commitments.

When this club runs around half the time is given to formal coaching with the big Demo board, perhaps using a famous Grandmaster game to learn about different tactics and strategy.

The rest of the time we have mini-competitions and friendly games, we tackle chess puzzles, and sometimes try out variations such as Shotgun Chess and “4-player chess”. The many benefits for children can be found on the separate webpage. Please see links above.

This academic year we are still offering one-to-one chess coaching.
