Here at CheckMate Chess we’re on a mission to see chess clubs in ALL Gloucestershire primary schools...


We currently operate in five Gloucestershire schools:

• Running their lunchtime and after-school chess clubs
  Coaching beginners and intermediates alike using CD-Rom technology and large wall-hanging Demo boards
  
• Arranging competitions and matches
  
• Helping to bring chess onto the main curriculum as we have done recently with a Cheltenham school
  
• Linking with the lively Gloucestershire Primary Schools Chess Association
  
• Running a Saturday afternoon chess club in Charlton Kings
